The FSU ID Card and Meal Plans

The FSU ID card serves as a meal card for boarding students and for commuter students who have purchased the “Block Plans.” The meal plan works by a swipe at registers in dining locations on campus. The ID card also serves as to door access to the computer lab for all students and for the boarding students; it is dorm access to their specific dorm. The door access works by a designated proximity chip in the card per each individual and it is very important to not bend, break, put a hole in card, or place against cell phone or against another card with a chip in it. We highly recommend purchasing a hard cover case to carry your ID in to protect it.

Full information on using the card for Meal Plans is on the FSU Dining website.
